Learning music with Katie

With a background in classical, pop, jazz and blues, Katie offers students the opportunity to choose a style to focus on, or to explore the stylistic differences between genres. Katie has been teaching music for over 25 years and holds a Bachelor of Music from Berklee College of Music. She has studied vocal pedagogy, stage performance, traditional and jazz harmony, musical theatre, and songwriting, and studied voice and piano through the Royal Conservatory of Music.

What students say

Katie is a wonderful piano teacher. She is kind, friendly, knowledgeable – and most of all fun! She chooses music that interests my child so that learning and playing music is fun. Classes are 30 minutes and every minute is filled with music instruction with a side of laughter. My child is eager to resume lessons again this fall to see what exciting music Katie will have for him to learn.
