Learning music with KATIE!
With a background in classical, pop, jazz, and Blues, Katie is able to offer students the opportunity to choose a style on which to focus, or to explore the stylistic differences in the various genres of music. Katie has been teaching music for over 25 years and has a Bachelor of Music from Berklee College of Music. She has studied vocal pedagogy, stage performance, traditional and jazz harmony, musical theatre, and songwriting. Katie also studied voice and piano through the Royal Conservatory of Music.
Katie creates an engaging space where students learn the basics of vocal and piano technique, and music theory while having fun. She uses her education and professional experience to help singers develop their voice, discover their sound, and improve their performance.
All levels of Singing and Piano, Theory and Songwriting are welcome. Katie also offers lessons in beginner Ukulele.

“Katie is a wonderful piano teacher. She is kind, friendly, knowledgeable – and most of all fun! She chooses music that interests my child so that learning and playing music is fun. Classes are 30 minutes and every minute is filled with music instruction with a side of laughter. My child is eager to resume lessons again this fall to see what exciting music Katie will have for him to learn.” Allison B.
“Katie dedicates her time to ensuring that my son evolves and learns with his unique adaptations of music he loves. She offers barrier-free and inclusive lessons and sets her students up to shine with ease.” Dominique P.
“Katie makes use of her extensive knowledge of classical and jazz repertoire to help her adult students discover the musician within them. All this while making the exercise a lot of fun!” Michelle P.
