Katie Ditschun
With nuanced phrasing and a crystal-clear voice that soars, jazz singer Katie draws audiences in with her sincerity and warmth. Her versatility, intensity, and depth is inspired by Judy Garland, Blossom Dearie, Sarah Vaughan, and Ella Fitzgerald.
Born and raised in Brantford, Ontario, Katie Ditschun now calls Alexandria, Ontario home. After studying at Berklee College of Music (jazz and contemporary vocal), she lived in Montreal, where she focused on family and private teaching.
In 2022 Katie released her original jazz EP One Voice. The title track was a semi-finalist, jazz category, in the 2022 International Songwriting Competition (ISC).
“Be Still” (2020), her jazz-pop holiday single, can be heard across Canadian radio stations, including CBC Radio every Christmas. With the assistance of a FACTOR grant, Katie released her debut album, Spare Skirt (2018).
Keegan Larose
Keegan Larose blends the storytelling styles of Folk music with Adult Alternative, Pop, and Rock, delivering and dynamic performance that engages his audience, leaving them with musical earworms that linger. Born and raised in Cornwall, Ontario, Keegan cut his teeth along the St. Lawrence River before making his way to Hamilton, Ontario, where he studied guitar and Jazz music at Mohawk College, and began his teaching career with private music lessons.
Keegan’s 2020 self-titled debut EP has been described as “a good choice to get you out of the blues and into the light” (Jay Freeman, Divide and Conquer). His work with Hamilton based Ska band, Stork and the Baby Makers, can be heard on college radio stations nationwide, and has made its way across the globe. Keegan Larose is “a singer-songwriter that embodies the spirit of Cornwall.” (Ramada Cornwall)
